Is the Developer Edition really free?

Yes, there are no hidden fees, no commitment, and no credit card required. The free trial allows nonproduction usage of apps and includes everything you need to design, build, manage and test any app or functionality you deem necessary when exploring our platform. It includes the entire Neptune DXP and two trial licenses, which gives you control of the entire application lifecycle process.  Just sign up, download, and get started building as many applications as you want.

When should I upgrade from the Developer Edition – trial period to a paid Professional / Enterprise Edition?

If you want to start a project and activate your applications to make them available to internal users, you will need to upgrade to a run-time license. However, upgrading your status is easy – you can keep all the features and functionality that you have been working on, any apps that have been configured or built are ready to go, and your business logic can be incorporated into your new Neptune Software instance. Contact our solutions experts and they can upgrade your plan and have you live in an instant.

What kind of Support does Neptune Software offer?

Neptune Software gives you access to all levels of support. This includes a rich library of documentation on our Community site, eLearning courses and certification opportunities, Neptune Software in-house technical support, and tailored development support/an assigned Customer Success Manager based on unique business needs.

Are there restrictions or applications limitations in regard to data usage, number of apps, storage, etc.?

There are no restrictions to the number of applications you can create. The more applications you develop and deploy, the more you will be getting out of your investment, so create away! There are also no restrictions from Neptune Software regarding data usage or storage.

How many run time environments will I need?

One Neptune DXP – SAP Edition runtime license is required for every SAP system (installation number) on which the Neptune DXP – SAP Edition is installed or connected with. These systems can be ECC, SRM, CRM, etc. One Neptune DXP – Open Edition runtime licenses is required for every productive installation within your organization.
